The store is managed by Mr. Stanley Swaraj, Proprietor of Stanley Cycles and Secretary of the Kakinada Cycling Association (KCA). A passionate cyclist himself, Mr. Stanley has been actively promoting cycling in Kakinada for several years, not as a business initiative but as a community-driven mission to encourage fitness, camaraderie, and healthy living through cycling.
About Kakinada Cycling Association (KCA)
The KCA is a community of cycling enthusiasts working together to make cycling a lifestyle in Kakinada. The association organizes regular rides, training, and events designed to support riders of all levels.
Activities & Highlights of KCA:
- Beginner Training – Free one-week training and coaching sessions for new cyclists.
- Cycling Tips & Guidance – Covering pedaling technique, foot placement, climbing bridges, distance riding, breathing methods, and more.
- Weekly Group Rides – Conducted every Sunday, with routes and distances chosen by KCA members.
- Monthly Rural Rides – Exploring scenic rural areas to enjoy nature and cycling together.
- Long-Distance Rides – Special endurance rides, including a recent 150 km ride from Kakinada to Vizag Steel Plant, completed successfully under the leadership of Mr. Stanley with participation from 14 enthusiastic riders.
- Basic Bike Maintenance Training – Practical guidance such as tube replacement in case of a flat tyre.
- Recognition & Motivation – Regular riders are encouraged and rewarded with gifts.
- Cycling Challenges – Fun and competitive challenges to motivate members and keep the community active.
